In addition to family plans it is cheaper to call other cell phones included in one billing. Discounts for airtime usage of family members using this cell phone plan are also there. Free long-distance charges and no roaming charges are included in national cell phone plans. Regional cell phone plans may include the long distance charges but the airtime rates may be cheaper.

Prepaid cell phone plans are more preferred but for travelers the traditional plans with no roaming charges and no long-distance charges are more beneficial.
